TEACHERS

 

Joanna Heninghem

Joanna is the Principal of Stagelight School of Dance and currently teaches all classes. She completed her vocational training at Harrison College of Dance, gaining Advanced and Associate qualifications in ISTD Ballet, Tap, Modern and National dance. She later went on to study at London College of Dance, achieving a BA Honours in Dance, and then at the Royal Academy of Dance, achieving Qualified Teacher Status.

Joanna has taught at various dance schools and colleges within the UK and abroad, as well as teaching dance at several primary and secondary schools. Most recently, she was Head of Dance at Aylesbury High School where she enjoyed teaching GCSE Dance and choreographing for the national 'Rock Challenge' competition. Her stage credits include performances with Cork City Ballet and Alter Ego Contemporary Company.

 

In 2004 she realised her dream of running her own dance school and continues to find huge enjoyment in teaching, producing shows and seeing the students at the school succeed. The school continues to flourish and now has over 150 students. 

 

Joanna is DBS checked, first-aid trained and is a licensed Child Chaperone.
